Book the Cango Caves at our concierge. Located only 29km from Oudtshoorn, at the head of the picturesque Cango Valley, lies the spectacular underground wonder of the Klein Karoo – the Cango Caves. The 20 million-year-old Cango Caves situated in a limestone ridge parallel to the well known Swartberg Mountains, you will find the finest dripstone caverns, with their vast halls and towering formations. Frequently described as one of the great natural wonders of the world, the Cango Cave is the biggest show cave system in Africa. Remarkable the cave was inhabited since the Early Stone Age and is the oldest tourist attraction in South Africa becoming a popular attraction during the 1800s.

Walk on a catwalk above large natural enclosures to view the most magnificent of the world’s big cats: White Lions, African Leopards, White Bengal Tigers and of course our prized Cheetah. You can even get to meet them face-to-face in a heartwarming close encounter!
